Windsor Hearth & Rescue responds to downtown incident

Windsor Fire & Rescue Services responded to a fire in Windsor’s city center on Monday night.

First responders were dispatched to an incident near the intersection of Wyandotte Street West and Church Street sometime before 7:50 pm

Windsor Police tweeted that Wyandotte Street West was closed between Bruce Avenue and Church Street, and would be until further notice.

By 8:18 pm, firefighters were on the scene, according to a tweet from Windsor Fire & Rescue Services.

A witness tweeted a photograph showing the incident was a house fire.

The road reopened shortly before 9:30 pmm on Monday night, police said in an update via Twitter.
