Boxing fans should look forward to a live event in downtown Windsor Sunday night.
Border City Boxing has announced the return of “Rumble on The River” a live boxing show at the Festival Plaza beginning at 7 pm
The event will feature a number of bouts with fighters from five Windsor and Essex County boxing clubs. Co-main events include Border City’s Jack Nantais vs St. Catherine’s Boxing Club Dylan Maisonneuve and Border City’s Ryan Pluss vs St. Catherine’s Dennis Steingart.
“We will have a complete setup with food and beverage vendors. We will be transforming the riverfront into a boxing venue for a great family friendly show,” said Border City Boxing’s Executive Director Renaldo Agostino. “Our kids are super excited to be able to perform in their hometown and in such a great venue, it’s going to be another wonderful event in our city.”
Live music and a DJ will also be featured at the event which is being hosted by six-time World Champion Jeanine Garside.
This event marks the first return of live boxing to downtown Windsor’s Festival Plaza since 2018. The event is geared for all ages and will be a family friendly show.
General admission for the show is $30. Proceeds will help support amateur boxing and youth recreation at Border City Boxing Club. Tickets can be purchased online at www.bordercityboxing.eventbrite.ca. Doors open at 6 pm, one hour before bell time.
