Barry Wilson is one of the best candidate for Windsor’s District 2 – Greeley Tribune

It’s election time in Windsor and there are two candidates running for Windsor Town Board in my District.

After attending the League of Women Voters candidate forum in our Town Hall this week, it is my opinion that the incumbent, Barry Wilson, is clearly the best candidate. Windsor is where Barry has lived for 22 years, raised 3 children, and owns a small business.

He has demonstrated his dedication to public service by serving on community boards and commissions including the Planning Commission, the Parks and Recreation and Cultural Advisory Board, the Poudre River Trail Corridor, Inc., and he is the Chair of the Larimer County Behavioral Health Policy Council.

Barry has accomplished much during his current term: additional turning lanes in a critical intersection, addressing traffic flow and safety issues in the Steeplechase subdivision, significant trail additions including a trailhead and path around Kyger Reservoir, and a bridge and trail extension that connect our District with downtown Windsor.

His vision for the next term includes projects to relieve parking and traffic challenges in downtown Windsor and additional trails and other recreational opportunities. With his business experience he will also bring common sense to business development in our town.

Barry understands the needs of District 2 and has proved himself as an effective leader. He is consistently in attendance and prepared for Town Board meetings. He is a good listener and is responsive to the needs and requests from residents.

He has my vote.
