Automotive crashes into phone pole in Windsor | windsor
WINDSOR — A car crashed into a telephone pole in Windsor early Thursday morning, causing a road closure.
According to Windsor Police, the crash was reported at 4:04 am and happened on Broad Street, also known as Route 159. The single driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Resident Charles Buder, 71, told the Journal Inquirer he experienced a temporary power outage at his home on Sycamore Street as a result of the accident.
As of 2:30 pm on Thursday, the road is still closed between Batchelder Road and Maple Avenue. Police said a new pole was installed and wires still need to be worked on.
